After many rumors, speculations, and daily leaks, the Galaxy S24 series has finally been released. As expected, the trio represents a worthwhile but gradual step up from the S23 models. Today, we’ll be looking at the Galaxy S24, the smallest among the trio. Here, we’re going to review the Galaxy S24’s Exynos model.

A new matte-finished aluminum frame and flat Victus 2 panel give the Samsung Galaxy S24 a sleek, even, and refined look. The Galaxy S24 maintains the same dimensions as the S23, but it is able to accommodate an even larger 6.2-inch display with smaller bezels in the same area thanks to LTPO screen panels.

The Galaxy S24 now has a 6.2-inch LTPO Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with extended 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This is the first update. Peak brightness has increased to 2,600 nits from 1,750 nits on the S23.

The next enhancement is the chipset upgrade, and hardware fragmentation is back! In the majority of nations, the S24 uses the Exynos 2400 chipset, which has a 10-core CPU and a new AMD GPU; in the US, Canada, and China, however, it uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. For the worldwide model, the S24 comes in two storage variants: 128GB UFS 3.1 and 256GB UFS 4.0, both with 8GB of RAM. Some nations also have a limited-edition 512GB variant available.

The S23’s whole camera equipment has been removed. The three cameras on the rear are a 12MP ultrawide, a 10MP 3x telephoto, and a 50MP OIS main. For taking selfies, a 12MP front camera with autofocus will be used.

The battery’s 4,000mAh capacity has replaced its 3,900mAh capacity. The charging options are still 25W wired, 15W wireless, and 4.5W reverse wireless.

The Galaxy S24 base model still has 128GB of storage, which we hoped Samsung would drop because there are no UFS 4.0 chips for this capacity. Additionally, this model lacks Ultra Wideband and has a 25W charging limit. Though none of these are deal breakers, they would have made the specification sheet look nicer.
